LUNCH WRAPS
This is a great way to get kids and parents involved in that tedious job of LUNCHES. Mom’s and Dad’s try so hard to be creative and healthy at the same time. I like to put out the selections and have them choose the items they like the best. Wraps can be spinach, whole wheat or plain, the rest is up to you and your imagination.
1 package of flour wraps (plain, spinach or whole wheat)
1 can drained and rinsed black beans
1 can drained and rinsed chick peas
1 package washed and stemmed spinach, butter lettuce, arugula
1 sweet onion sliced thin
250 grams prepared hummus
shredded red cabbage
cooked chicken meat
cucumber
julienned red pepper
avocado
feta
cooked salmon
tomatoes
lime wedges, fresh basil, cilantro
hot sauce
mayo
Choose as many fillings as you like, then everyone build their own lunch wrap.
