In this class for the Year of the Snake, come learn to fold traditional Chinese dumplings with us. You'll learn to master various folding techniques, plus useful tips & tricks on how to make and cook dumplings to perfection.
To start the new lunar year off right, we'll be showcasing the versatility and deliciousness of Chinese cookery that requires little to no added fats. Learn to make healthy and nutritious Chinese dishes, just like how our moms cook for us at home. Discover the secrets of authentic Chinese home cooking in this engaging, hands-on class! Learn to prepare delicious and comforting dishes all from scratch. You’ll also explore the balance of flavours, textures, and cooking methods—that make Cantonese cuisine so unique.
Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll practice essential techniques such as folding dumplings, and creating perfectly balanced seasonings. This class is perfect for all skill levels, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned cook looking to expand your repertoire. Take home a collection of recipes, tips for using key ingredients, and the confidence to create flavourful Chinese meals in your own kitchen.

• Chinese Greens (Blanched in Ginger Broth).
• Tofu topped with Shrimp & Garlic (Steamed).
• Pork & Taiwanese Cabbage Dumplings (Steamed).
• Coconut Sago Dessert Soup (Boiled).
- All participants receive a storewide 10% discount on the day of the class with exceptions on already reduced prices and electrical items, in-store items only.
- Attendees must be at least 19 years of age to attend/participate in these classes.
- Allergies: we cannot guarantee that foods will be allergen-free, but you are welcome to come to class to learn, get recipes and tips. Tasting is of course your choice and is at your own risk.

Pearl and Dickson of Dicky’s Dumps
Bio: Rooted in tradition and guided by their appetites. Dickson and Pearl are Hong Kong-born, longtime Vancouverites delivering handmade dumplings across Vancouver.
Through their mutual love of good food and spreading joy through sharing culture and heritage, they created Dicky's Dumps as a platform for inspiration, connection, and conversation.
