EVERYTHING PANETTONE
Airy yet decadent, Panettone is one of Italy’s most celebrated and enjoyed holiday treats. Through the use of carefully nurtured lievito madre, a naturally leavened yeast, bakers ferment their dough for several days, bringing a supple texture to the fat enriched dough. Rich pops of bold flavours are added to the sweet bread, such as nuts, saffron, dried fruits, dessert wines, and chocolate. After the bread is baked, it is carefully hung upside down to cool, keeping its signature dome from collapsing.
