Joyce Chen Classic Series Non-Stick Kitchenware is crafted of premium carbon steel, perfectly weighted and balanced to craft all your favourite Asian dishes. Carbon steel is traditional in the Chinese kitchen and preferred by most chefs for the demands of traditional Asian cooking. Carbon steel heats up quickly, giving the cook complete control and quick response to every cooking need. In addition, the ceramic non-stick coating applied to the cookware is made without PFAS chemicals and prevents food from sticking; making clean up quick and easy.
- FIRST USE: Wash your pan with hot soapy water, rinse and wipe dry. Before Using this, or any non-stick cookware for the first time, lightly rub cooking oil into the Interior non-stick surface and heat the cookware over medium-low heat for one to two minutes. Allow the pan to cool, then rinse it in warm water with a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly. Now you're ready to cook. Caution: Do not overheat your pan during this process.
- CARE AND CLEAMING: Always allow the pan to cool before immersing in water. Wash your pan in hot, soupy water with a dish cloth or a sponge and dry thoroughly. Don't use steal wool, oven cleaners, abrasive scouring pads, or abrasive cleaners. After cleaning, recondition the surface by lightly wiping the surface with cooking oil. Caution: As with any fine cookware, do not wash in the dishwasher. Do not store items or stack other pans on top of your cookware, which could encourage staining. It is best practice to store your pan without anything inside of it. We recommend using wood, bamboo, or plastic utensils to extend the life of the non-stick coating. Do not use sharp objects or cut food with a knife while food is inside the pan. Over time, all non-stick cookware will scratch. This is normal and will not affect the non-stick properties of the non-stick coating.
- COOKING TIPS: All non-stick coatings may be damaged by overheating. To preserve the non-stick surface, always add cooking oil, liquid or ingredients to the pan prior to heating it.
Caution: Never preheat an empty pan or let liquids boil dry. Joyce Chen Classic Series Kitchenware heats up extremely quickly to high temperatures. We recommend using lower temperature settings until you are familiar with the cooking properties of our cookware. Non-stick coatings do permit the reduction of the amount of cooking oil used compared to uncoated cookware. Do remember, however, that high temperatures will require more, not less, oil in order to keep the food from burning or sticking to the pan. Adding a small amount of water as you stir fry instead of more oil can serve the same purpose without adding calories.

- Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
SHIPPING LIMITATIONS & EXCLUSIONS
- We do not ship electrical products outside the province of British Columbia.
- Gourmetwarehouse.ca is unable to ship to some PO boxes, hotels, and a few limited areas.
- We are unable to ship to the territories (Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut).

CHRISTMAS RETURN POLICY
In Store & Online
- A Receipt or Online Order Number is required for all refunds/exchanges.
- No refunds/exchanges on food items. All clearance items and books are final sale.
- Special orders take at least 6-12 weeks for arrival and 50% deposits are non-refundable.
- Special orders cannot be guaranteed to arrive before christmas day.
- Full refunds/exchanges will be honored if unopened, unused and in original packaging.
- Purchases made between Oct 24 - Dec 24 can be returned/ exchanged until Jan 13 with original receipt or gift receipt - this does not apply to Black Friday/Boxing Week sale items marked "Final Sale".
-There is no warranty on cutting boards. Due to the intimate nature,hygiene products are considered "Final sale".
- Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be re-issued. No refunds/exchanges on gift basket items.
- We check all breakables before they leave the store - once they leave the store they are your responsibility and are non-returnable if broken.
- Items bought for staging purposes will incur a 20% restocking fee upon return.
- Seasonal items cannot be returned/exchanged after Nov 30.
- Items cannot be put on hold without full payment during December
RETURNS POLICY
- An Order Number is required for all refunds and exchanges.
There are no refunds or exchanges on any food items. All clearance items and books are final sale.
Any product returned to The Gourmet Warehouse without prior authorization from The Gourmet Warehouse Online Customer Service will be considered an unauthorized return, and the customer will not receive credit for the product and The Gourmet Warehouse will not ship the product back to you.
- Full returns/exchanges will be honoured if the product is unopened, unused, and in its original packaging with all accessories. Refunds and exchanges must be within 30 days of purchase. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.)
- For items received from an online order that have arrived broken, please send photo documentation of the damages to websales@gourmetwarehouse.ca along with your order number within 24 hours of receipt.
- You should expect to receive your refund once we received and verify the returned order.
- No exchanges will be issued or accepted over 30 days of purchase.
- Gift Cards and E-Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash, lost or stolen gift cards cannot be re-issued.
- There are no refunds/exchanges on Gift Baskets.
