CHOCOLATE MAKING 101: MASTERING THE BASICS OF HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE | 11 AM - 2:30 PM
Join us on Valentine’s Day as you dive into the delicious world of chocolate making! Learn the basics of crafting indulgent treats like rich, melt-in-your-mouth truffles and smooth, custom chocolate bars. Our expert instructor will guide you through the process of tempering chocolate, mixing in flavours, and molding your creations into beautiful, delectable treats.
You will be greeted with a charcuterie and snack board to complement your cooking experience including fresh bread, pickles, assorted preserves, and a selection of fine cheeses.
In addition to making delightful treats you will walk away with a better understanding of chocolate: its theory, origins, and the many varieties of chocolate available.

- Attendees must be at least 19 years of age to attend/participate in these classes.
- Allergies: we cannot guarantee that foods will be allergen-free, but you are welcome to come to class to learn, get recipes and tips. Tasting is of course your choice and is at your own risk.
REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS OR NO SHOWS
- Up to 14 Days – before the scheduled class, we will credit 100% of the class price (store credit back onto a gift card) minus a processing fee per person registered: $25 for demo class, $30 for hands-on, and $50 for kids hands-on cooking camp.
- Less Than 14 Days – As we need to plan our menus and purchase food based on the number of participants attending, no refunds or credits can be issued for cancellations less than 14 days before a class. You may choose to send someone in your place.

Christine Barker
Christine was born and raised in Vancouver -- with over a decade of pastry experience, she has honed her skills at institutions such as Chambar, Faubourg, Chocolate Arts, and The Hart House, as well as Raymond’s in St. Johns.
Now she runs her own bespoke chocolate company, Chickadee Chocolate, in order to bring her sweet vision to the city she loves.
