Join us for a fun and flirty evening of mixology, where you'll learn to craft creative cocktails like a pro!
Led by expert bartender Nicolo Tognon, this hands-on class is perfect for friends or couples looking to shake things up—literally. You and your partner will shake, stir, and sip your way through an interactive session designed to elevate your home bartending skills. You'll create delicious drinks, learn the secrets behind balancing flavours, and even take home two handmade cocktail syrups to impress at your next night in.

Playin’ Cello:
Zesty, tangy and colourful! This drink will feature a homemade raspberry and Szechuan pepper syrup.
Rolling Peaches:
Bubbly, fruity and zesty creation featuring a homemade Meyer lemon cordial.
Hugo Spritz:
A staple aperitivo of North-Eastern Italy. Best enjoyed after a long summer hike or bike ride!
Montenegro Iced Coffee:
A refreshing and tonic coffee concoction. Featuring a unique blend of zesty, nutty and spiced notes.

- Safety First: Enjoy Responsibly: Since you will have the opportunity to enjoy the cocktails you prepare,
make sure to arrange for a designated driver or alternative transportation to get you home safely after the event.


- All participants receive a storewide 10% discount on the day of the class with exceptions on already reduced prices and electrical items, in-store items only. Additional exclusions May apply.

- Attendees must be at least 19 years of age to attend/participate in these classes. Photo ID for proof of age will be checked upon arrival.
- Allergies: we cannot guarantee that foods will be allergen-free, but you are welcome to come to class to learn, get recipes and tips. Tasting is of course your choice and is at your own risk.


REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS OR NO SHOWS

- Up to 14 Days – before the scheduled class, we will credit 100% of the class price (store credit back onto a gift card) minus a processing fee per person registered: $25 for demo class, $30 for hands-on, and $50 for kids hands-on cooking camp.
- Less Than 14 Days As we need to plan our menus and purchase food based on the number of participants attending, no refunds or credits can be issued for cancellations less than 14 days before a class. You may choose to send someone in your place.

“Nicolo is an hospitality veteran born and raised in North-Eastern Italy. His journey in the culinary world started at the age of 14 when he got enrolled in hospitality school to pursue a passion made of memories of travels throughout the country as well as of spirit of conviviality from numerous family and friends gatherings.

In 2010 he left Italy and moved to London, UK where he worked at different fine dining establishments to deepen his professional skills, he then flew to Australia where he started to explore bartending and mixology at a prominent steakhouse in the city of Sydney. In 2015 he had a chance to relocate to Italy to spend a year working in the city of Venice at the prominent Gran Caffe Quadri in St.Mark’s Square.

Nicolo moved to Vancouver in 2016 where he joined Ancora restaurant on False Creek as a mixologist and crafted numerous cocktails inspired by the “Nikkei” fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavours; in 2020 he joined Tutto Restaurant & Bar in Yaletown as the opening Bar Manager, where he was given the opportunity to create his very own Italian inspired bar program from scratch and to fully develop the brand new lounge concept and setting.

Nico took part at various mixology competitions throughout the years and is now working in the beverage retail industry, he holds a WSET 2 certification in Wine and Spirits as well as his Sommelier title with the Italian Sommelier Association. His future goal and aspiration is to become a Wine and Spirits educator!”
