If you’d like to learn how to make Pad Thai the right way from an award-winning chef who has worked in some of the best Thai restaurants in Europe and Canada, this is your chance.
Discover the vibrant flavours and rich traditions of Thai cuisine in our "Thai Food 101: Mastering Essential Flavours and Techniques" cooking class.
This introductory course will guide you through the fundamentals of Thai cooking, from selecting the freshest ingredients to mastering key techniques. You'll learn to create classic dishes like Pad Thai with homemade tamarind sauce, pungent fish sauce, tofu, egg, pickled Chinese radish, dried prawn, crushed roasted peanuts, bean sprouts, Chinese chives, dried chilli—We’re salivating just thinking about it; all of this while gaining a deeper understanding of the balance of flavours that define Thai cuisine.
- Perfect for beginners and food enthusiasts alike, this class will equip you with the skills to recreate authentic Thai meals at home. Join us and embark on a culinary journey through Thailand!

Haan Palcu-Chang is a Taiwanese-Romanian award winning chef based out of Salt Spring Island, BC. Chef Haan brings global experience from leading kitchens all over the world, including, Paris, Copenhagen, Singapore, Toronto, and Vancouver’s own Maenam Restaurant.
Chef Haan most recently led Favourites Thai BBQ in Toronto to win Toronto Life’s Best New Restaurant award. Chef Haan brings unique interpretations of traditional flavours making it approachable for the home cook and any foodie who is looking to explore new flavours and cuisines.
