Immerse yourself in the rich flavours and traditions of Cantonese cuisine in this hands-on cooking class. Learn to prepare two iconic dishes: tender, flavourful hand-pulled chicken and perfectly crafted hand-folded dumplings. From mastering classic techniques to balancing authentic seasonings, this class will guide you step by step in creating these timeless favourites. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned chef, you’ll leave with new skills, delicious recipes, and a deeper appreciation for Cantonese culinary artistry.
MENU
• Hand Shredded Chicken; this classic Cantonese-style 'chicken salad' is prepared with poached chicken
and tossed with plenty of aromatics to make a tantalizing appetizer.
• Taiwanese Cabbage & Pork Dumplings; Learn tips and tricks for making your own dumplings,
variety of fold techniques, and master pan-frying your dumplings to golden brown perfection.
• Mango Pudding; a Hong Kong classic - jiggly, tropical sweet perfection.

- All participants receive a storewide 10% discount on the day of the class with exceptions on already reduced prices and electrical items, in-store items only.
- Attendees must be at least 19 years of age to attend/participate in these classes.
- Allergies: we cannot guarantee that foods will be allergen-free, but you are welcome to come to class to learn, get recipes and tips. Tasting is of course your choice and is at your own risk.
REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS OR NO SHOWS
- Up to 14 Days – before the scheduled class, we will credit 100% of the class price (store credit back onto a gift card) minus a processing fee per person registered: $25 for demo class, $30 for hands-on, and $50 for kids hands-on cooking camp.
- Less Than 14 Days – As we need to plan our menus and purchase food based on the number of participants attending, no refunds or credits can be issued for cancellations less than 14 days before a class. You may choose to send someone in your place.

Pearl and Dickson of Dicky’s Dumps
Bio: Rooted in tradition and guided by their appetites. Dickson and Pearl are Hong Kong-born, longtime Vancouverites delivering handmade dumplings across Vancouver.
Through their mutual love of good food and spreading joy through sharing culture and heritage, they created Dicky's Dumps as a platform for inspiration, connection, and conversation.
